What happened to the "W '04" stickers? |
|
Here in Delaware County, the white oval "W '04" stickers have been very common. In any grocery store parking lot, you were sure to see 2 or 3 at any given time, usually plastered on the vehicle's rear window.
About a week ago, I thought that I hadn't seen any for a while, and I started looking for them. I haven't seen any. I know that 'bumper stickers' don't last forever, but it seems to me that the W '04 stickers disappeared overnight.
Of course, I'm probably imagining it -- or am I? Are the people who voted for W in 2004 now sufficiently ashamed that they are obliterating public evidence of their criminal complicity? Are we at war with Eurasia or Eastasia?
Look around in your neighborhoods and see if the W supporters are trying to conceal their history.

5. I'm sure the MORONS in MASON still have them on their HUMMERS |
|
There was this one house in Mason that I would occasionally pass coming home that had a Hummer in the driveway, and a flagpole with GOP flag flying on it, and the HUMMER plate was GOP1. Tell me how I didn't fantasize paintballing the shit out of those suckers.

I still have a Kerry Edwards sticker on my car and see many of them in the area. We don't want anyone to think we voted for this mess.

7. I think some voters put *new* K/E stickers on their cars after the election |
|
...causing defensive Beast/Cheney voters to put new W'04 ovals on their cars.

9. I have a new Kerry Edwards waiting to go on my car on Nov. 8 |
|
My Zack bumpersticker will come off. K/E will go on in its place. I'll probably keep the TED '06 oval as well. I like to make people on the highway happy.

8. I've noticed fewer of each |

although there's still more Kerry/Edwards stickers floating around, it seems. Lots of Strickland stickers, very few Blackwell stickers.

11. I'll tell you another thing I don't see |
|
is all the damn yard signs for the repukes. I'm in SE Ohio and on this one street back in 04 just about every damn house had republican signs in their yards but this year I counted 2 sets of republican signs and one of those is a die hard right to lifer that would vote for Hitler if he said he'd outlaw abortions. Where's all those staunch republicans supporting their great candidates. It's alomost like they have thier curtains drawn in shame. :hide:

13. Same here in Columbus..... |
|
..there are a couple of straggling Blackwell/Dewine yard signs, but more for Brown/Strickland - and I'm talking about a mostly Republican area. Not surprisingly, there seems to be a few Blackwell signs in the vicinity of the World Harvest Church....although of course they don't endorse candidates *sigh*

I really have continued to look for W '04 stickers. I finally saw one yesterday in a Meijer's parking lot. From the look of the raggady car it was on, the owner has no business voting for Republicans.

14. I still see at least one a day... |
|
I have some small Sherrod Brown stickers that I wear on my coat or shirt.
Anyway, I gave some to my mother. She came home the other day and said she was placing them over the W '04 stickers. GO MOM!
