The facility, formerly Fox River Paper, employs 181 people, with 143 hourly and 38 salaried employees.
"This week," he said, "we're focusing on helping our employees cope with the news. Next week, we'll help them move into the next phase of their lives."
Hourly employees at the mill earn from $16 to $21 per hour and receive a benefits package totaling $11,000 of which they pay approximately 25 percent. More than a quarter of employees, he estimated, have been with the company for more than 30 years.
