I am disappointed with WCPN today

The local NPR station of repute for the Cleveland-Akron area www.WCPN.org

They missed a great opportunity to devote this morning's sound of ideas hour to the election, history is taking shape outside the studios, on Euclid Avenue and all of North East Ohio. Inside the studios, they engaged in a dull religious discourse.

They could have conducted voter sentiment interviews with union workers in Lorain or at the Ford plant by the airport that is closing.

Or they could have interviewed students in Cleveland State that hosted the debate last week or Akron U or Case Western or Kent State (ignore that, WKSU would have been pissed :-)

Ask the tough local questions :

- How has NAFTA hurt to you ?

- How has NAFTA helped you ?

- How can the next president rescue the nation from a downward spiral ?

- Jobs, War, Education, Recession, Foreclosures, Interest Rates, Unemployment ?

Instead, they squandered a historic opportunity. Oh well !

ps: WKSU is off the hook, because they don't have local talk programming.
