1. I don't like the idea. |
|
First of all, I want Ted to stay Gov. and I want to win State wide offices again in 2010. I want the reapportionment board in our hands.
also - the ads that would be played against an Obama-Strickland ticket would suck. you would have the Gov's words on tape against Obama, plus his nodding in the back ground when Hillary gave her great "shame on you" tirade.
We can win Ohio w/o the VP slot.

2. That's my thought as well. |

I really don't see Obama and Ted getting together -- I thought this was a stray idea that someone threw out on Meet The Press yesterday, but I saw that it had legs elsewhere.
I can't think of any reason why Obama would ask him in the first place.

3. I agree that this is a bad idea |

There is so much work to be done here in Ohio, and we desperately need to get the legislature in the hands of the Democrats so we can actually get something done.
And I do come back to Governor Bobblehead. That would come back to haunt the Democrats big time. I can see the ads now. I think Obama has many excellent possible choices. Governor Strickland isn't one of them.

4. Governor Bobblehead. Ah, yes, I remember that well. |
|
And so will the electorate.
If we want someone with Ohio ties, Kathleen Sebelius gets my vote. I really liked her father.

5. I would hate to see him leave for D.C. |

Ohio finally has a governor who is addressing the issues of poverty and unemployment in SE Ohio. If Strickland leaves, those folks will fall off the political radar again and I think they would lose what little hope they have left.

6. I want him to stay as Gov |
|
as much as I respect Fisher the thought of him being our next gov makes me somewhat ill. Besides we can hopefully win Ohio without him. I think it will depend on how Obama fairs in the debates against McNutjob. Ohio can go blue if Strickland works for Obama as hard as he worked for Clinton....still I have my reservations that Ohio will support any Dem president over McCain. Voters in this state confuse the shit out of me every year!
