The campaign is spending the sign budget on broadcast ads for women |
|
Boomer women in particular. On my favorite rock-oldies station, Magic 105.7, they played commercials that said McCain's RNC platform means removing abortion rights even in the case of rape or incest. All day yesterday, they played the commercial about "equal pay for equal performance" and noted McCain's dismissive answer that women who don't have pay equity just need "more training". Then the commercial goes into Barack's convention speech talking about his mother working her way up from clerical work to middle management and that he wanted his daughters to live in a world with equal opportunity.
I call that "being on-message". I am very encouraged. I have heard that Barack has to make up ground in NE Ohio. That is unexpected, but I think he has the right strategy.
Now cue up some Janis.

1. I don't think he is as bad in Ohio as the GOP wants us to think |

I was out canvassing Sunday. Knocked on more than 100 doors of undecided voters and very few were negative about Obama.
There were a few that I spent a some time with and persuaded them to vote for Obama.
I believe the polls are wrong.
