Noble County Sheriff resigns |
|
And about time.:bounce: I have never in my life seen such corruption in office as this guy has done. The "official" reason is "ethics violation" because his wife (also a deputy) was allowed to use a county cruiser to go to Wal Mart. Oh please, these people have committed crimes while in office/on the job for years. There is more to this "investigation" then what is being told to the people. This character they call a "sheriff" has literally "done as he damn well pleased" for years. Terrorized/threatened people who didn't abide by "his law", allowed guys to beat the crap out of their wife and children NUMEROUS times with no repercussions. Children Services do nothing because Landon says no no. He drives the cruiser all over the place while DRINKING. I personally saw him at a wedding reception drunk as a skunk and driving a Noble County Sheriff cruiser...yes siree, that's real "law abiding" for ya. Don't bother to report him to the state patrol around here, they know full well that he drives while drunk (or else they chose not to arrest him) but that courtesy doesn't apply to anyone else. DRUNK DRIVING is drunk driving, regardless of who you are or your title. No, there is more to this investigation then what is out so far....stay tuned, we may get the whole story yet.

1. I'm familiar with this story |
|
It's in my neighborhood, as my county has a common border with Noble.
In the following article, a supporter refers to the sheriff as 'the Andy Taylor of Noble County.' I must have missed the episode where Andy faced a host of ethics charges - including felonies :eyes:

I'm also in a surrounding county but know quite well of this characters antics. It amazes me the people that defend him, why would you want someone this corrupt as your sheriff? Unless you were one of the "lucky" ones he made "deals" with??

Part of why these miscreants keep getting reelected may have to do with 'the devil you know vs. the devil you don't know,' where people fear getting someone even worse in office
