Crain's Cleveland Business opines that municipalities *want* collective bargaining(subscription req)
Crain's editorial: Not so fast
Gov. John Kasich's zeal for his mission is admirable.

Collective bargaining has been the norm for the last three decades in Ohio. Cities had found that there were more strikes before collective bargaining.

A study determined that in ten out of twenty negotiations, the city did well and the other ten the workers did well. That dispels the message that the workers "always" prevail.

I am paraphrasing. I "just read it" at the dentist's office.
