With his higher than thou announcement yesterday about the wonderful, Christian family life he's had, I started to remember a big problem between him and his brother. I think his brother is a Democrat, and the two can't stand one another. Wasn't there a big, nasty lawsuit between them at one time?
I think there are quite a few skeletons in Inhofe's closet, which might warrant a little digging around. Anyone know any details?

I remember his "I am outraged over the outrage over Abu Ghraib" comment during the Congressional Hearings with MG Taguba a few years ago. The woman sitting behind him made a face like her eyebrows were going to pop off.

2. Yes, he sued his brother |
|
Inhofe was the president of an insurance company that went bankrupt. IIRC it went bankrupt because the FDIC caught Inhofe cooking the books & sued him. They got a $500K judgement against him.
Inhofe then sued his brother, claiming he was the guilty one. He did so to clear his name so it wouldn't screw up his political career. How's that for repuke family values? Blame the other guy.

5. A LOT of Tulsans who know him say he has a lot of money |
|
stashed in the Caymans, avoiding taxes (and hiding where it came from.) I can't confirm it from personal knowledge...I only met him once. Coburn however is someone I've known up close & personal for 35 years. He's not a crook like Inhofe, but he's a nutcase.

6. Oklahoma Observer had a long article when Inhofe 1st ran for senator |
|
'Frosty Troy' said that no OK newspaper would print anything negative about Inhofe.
I think it was in that article that I read that Inhofe had sued his church.
He made some jerky statement at the OKC bombing--'we'll only know how many died when we know how many employees goofed off and didn't work that day.'
When I said some of this to my RW brother, he said 'well, at least when he was mayor of Tulsa he forced all the employees to work 8 hour days.'

Inhoffe, perhaps the most black hearted man in the senate. He did in fact sue his own brother though I don't remember the specifics, just that it had to do with money.
