I posted on the local demookie board about the peace rally this Saturday and someone responded with the following bit of info:

That's interesting because Congressman John Sullivan is having a "Veteran Town Hall Meeting" at the OU Tulsa Schusterman Health Science Center at 41st & Yale beginning at 10:00 am this Saturday, too.

Sullivan practically bragged on his website that he approved of a "raise" for Vets, when, in reality, all he did was approve the annual Cost of Living Adjustment for Vets, which merely adjusts one's income to the buying power it had the year before. It was not a raise at all.
