Please read my new thread and help us get ideas for better balloting in Ohio. We had extreme problems this year. edit: forgot the link http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=172x4059

We have opti-scan, I don't think there are any more punch cards in the state. They mail the ballots, we mark them, then put them back in the mail or drop them at drop boxes. Or you can take them in to the election office in your county. Volunteers pick up the ballots from drop boxes and deliver them. After that, it's the same routine at the elections offices. Voter turnout is up, we love it.
Somebody else will have to tell you how we managed to get it though because I wasn't here then.

We had scanned ballots you marked with a soft pencil in my former county of residence.
Is there anything notable about registration? In Ohio, people can pick up the forms at various offices. I wish they just mailed them to everybody, every year.

Registration drives, library, that sort of thing. You're right, we should just mail them out to every household. That's a good idea.
