Portland Beer Festival ..... |
|
If there was ever a damned good reason to have a party, the invention and continued existence of beer must rank high .....
It is at Waterfront Park, anyone going ? ...

if you like IPA, may I suggest the Bear Republic Racer X? Also, though it isn't listed as the beer that they're pouring, if Ballast Point Brew has a keg of their Dorado Double IPA, do not pass it up. That one always has the longest line at the Stone Brew Anniversary Fests.

3. I used to go every year. |
|
But the weekend has turned into too much of a frat party. The fest now opens on Thursday, and I plan to attend it next year on the Thursday. Still, for a new Oregonian, it's an experience worth having. So go. But go early, or wait until Sunday.
Next year stop by the Portland International Beer Fest. It's usually the weekend after the 4th or so, in the North Park Blocks. Much smaller, better beer, better crowd.
Enjoy!

I really don't like to drink a whole lot, but it was a good day for quaffing ales, to be sure .... I love Portland ...
I tasted many ... and swigged a few ....
I even chugged one or two ....
But in the end, I didnt spend much, and didnt get 'drunk' ... just a little tipsy ....
A little .... chuckles ...
I'll check out the PIBF next year .....
