in Central Oregon anyway, just north of Bend. I feel like doing a rain dance but I have a cast on my foot. I love the smell of August rain, don't you???

and I have to admit, it smelled wonderful - something to do with the dust and the hard ground, versus when it's been raining a lot and the new rain doesn't dance around so much. I guess it's dancing rain.

We had thunder in Portland, a little different for us at midday.

It passed me by. :-(
I did see the clouds though, and it was cool enough to close the doors, wear pajamas, and use a blanket last night. :-)
