Wyden's Office Responds to Our Invite! |
|
Last night, there was a message on my machine from Ron Wyden's office. Apparently, they got the message too late for the Senator to join us last Saturday, but they would like for us to provide them information on future meet-ups, in case he can make it!
:o
Let me know what you think, folks, and I'll get back to them!

1. Let them know about the next one! |
|
I would love to be able to feel free to ask any question we like and with this group, he couldn't get out of an answer, we all wouldn't let him. Not to mention, I think he's been doing a pretty good job as our Senator. Thanks Reader Rabbit! :bounce:

2. I issued the invitation after his awesome filibuster attempt |
|
It was only about a week before our last meeting, and they apparently didn't get the email until after we had it. Still, it would be nice to show him our appreciation—in liquid form—of his recent actions!

4. Might also be worth inviting the state legislature reps and sens |
|
just on general principle. And during primaries, invite various other candidates.
We only had 5 people at the last meet-up, tho; might not be an effective use of their time.
