Thom Hartmann interviewed Ron Wyden on his local program yesterday, and the senator was on fire! He really sounded riled about things going on in Washington lately. I was really impressed with his responses to Tom's questions.

I figured I would call his local office and extend a DU invitation to our monthly meet up. Are we still going with the Blues Fest for July?

1. A plea to all DUers who attend the montly meetup

Your local Democratic organization could use your help! The Multnomah County Democrats are getting a group together to march in the SummerFest parade in Troutdale on July 14. We are really hoping to make a strong showing. All you have to do is show up and march with what will hopefully be a large group- it's about one mile and downhill. (We can also use supporters on the sidelines to cheer us!) It should be a lot of fun, we'll have candy for the kids, balloons and we'll be registering voters at the booth. It will be a family event. We can definitely use your help and it would be a great way to inexpensively support your party in an important way with a minimal time commitment. More info to come on this forum.
