Bike for Democracy writes "Bike for Democracy, a non-partisan cross-country bike project to help shape our democracy by empowering underrepresented people to be informed, connected, and active voters is looking for individuals/organizations to help us organize a Send-Off/Kick-Off Event on Augst 11th.

Bike for Democracy will be supporting the work of organizations mobilizing young people to be involved in the political process by doing voter registration, voter education workshops and promoting voting rights from Portland, OR to Washington, DC."

we're departing from Portland on August 12th but we'll be in the area from August 8th-August 12th doing last minute training and organizing as well as workshop curriculum planning, volunteering and interviewing with Portland voter mobilization groups (as of now Oregon Action and Western Prison Project).
