Portland Meetup: A Threefold Thread ....

1: Now comes the first weekend in November, and a fine weekend it will be ....

Where shall the intrepid souls meet ????

I have a small limitation, which I will add in ....


2: Trajan had a 'slip-n-fall' event .... Whilst walking sideways along a street, on a grassy, high sloped berm; Trajan lost his footing in the VERY muddy soil under the grass, and folded, then broke his ankle (Actually the lower fibula). I am off crutches, but I am motivating slowly on a sensitive limb .... So perhaps a place that doesn't include a long hike away from the bus or max stops ....


3: Help me countdown to 10,000 posts ..... I have been here since Jan/Feb of 2002, and so it has taken me nearly 6 years to reach 10,000 posts (AVG: 1667 per year)..... I am at 9995 with this post ....

1. yikes! fortunately, there are a lot of places that fit the bill

Three I can think of offhand are the Lucky Lab (Hawthorne), Raccoon Lodge, or Goose Hollow Inn.

I hope you've been given a suitable amount of pain medication, as well as appropriate herbal remedies. :smoke:

Now for my limitations: I've been fighting an inner ear infection for the last month. What this means, for the uninitiated, is that I've basically had "The Spins" for weeks without any of the advantages that come with being Drunk. Think I finally beat the damn virus last weekend (that is, the vertigo tends to come in progressively shorter and less-frequent "pulses", and my total waking percentage of "spin time" finally dropped below ~10% a few days ago). So I might not make it this weekend and won't be doing a lot of drinking if I do...

My ankle is much better, but I can still only manage a few blocks walk ....
