Frank Jones -- Songs of Our American Heritage -- 1/18
Just want those of you in Portland to know about this inaugural weekend Americana at Common Grounds Coffee House on SE 43rd and Hawthorne at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Frank Jones will present "Songs of Our American Heritage: Lullabies, Legends and Lies". The food at Common Grounds is very good. The coffee, of course, is very good. The ambience is very suitable for this kind of evening. Two weeks ago I attended an evening of music there -- protests and ballads etc., and it was lively and very cool.
