CNN interview @ Brailles cafe in Eugene -what a wasted opportunity |
|
Edited on Sun Aug-09-09 07:40 PM by Boxerfan
I enjoyed many late breakfasts there. But anyhow, they had an interview with 3 people including the owner of the cafe. I had hoped they would take the opportunity to have a real conversation.Oh well right?
The 1st guy was "my mom bought a goat & makes feta cheese at home"...Sorry folks, but I don't think America can relate. 2nd guy-I googled him-a financial adviser from the area. I'm sure he votes Democratic right?. He's basically too many regulations-never a thought if we had single payer he wouldn't have to deal with health care for his employee's-Duh!
But sadly the owner kinda burned me at the end...I bet she said a lot of good things that were edited out-I'll give benefit of a doubt there. But when she complained about minimum wage being too high...
I won't be back-that's for sure. Maybe she should try & live on MW. Maybe she should see what happens when her customer base-starts not being able to eat out because they can't afford it even at well above minimum wage... Because effin Republicans have made such a mess with their "Free market" BS.
I know they went for the easy skewer but puhlease-what a waste of an opportunity

1. Thanks for posting. Won't patronize this place next time I'm in Eugene. |
|
Not that I can afford to drive to Eugene anymore!
Blessings.

2. Lunch money moves west |

They are perhaps the closet full service diner to my home. It will be easy to go the other direction, and take our brunch money to Cornucopia instead. Better deserts anyway.
