Oregon Green Jobs Retraining Program

If you know who to contact in Salem, Eugene or the Rogue Valley, please post.

Oregon’s Green Jobs Council will develop strategies to put 800 program participants into jobs. In Portland, Worksystems Inc. will lead efforts to recruit unemployed or underemployed people with some college credits but who are not currently enrolled in college. The workers could be hired in the renewable electric power, sustainable manufacturing, and energy efficiency industries.

The Workforce Investment Council of Clackamas County will retrain unemployed construction industry workers in the weatherization and retrofit industries.

Similar efforts are scheduled for Salem, Eugene and the Rogue Valley.
