LOVE vote-by-mail.
Come on, Oregon DU! Let's show 'em how it's done.

1. I voted in my living room over the weekend. |

Took my time considering the pros and cons of each ballot measure, with a beverage by my side and my favorite music on.
I just might take up my county clerk's offer of observing the ballot-counting process on election night. It's open to the public. They take pride in accurately tallying each vote in each precinct.
I haven't heard of ANY problems with vote totals or accusations of election fraud since this system has been implemented. Truly, I don't see how it's possible to rig an election with all the safeguards in place. You'd have to physically steal ballots from drop box sites (stealing mail is already a felony) -- but you'd have no way of knowing whom you'd be helping, since the ballots are sealed.
Our voter turnout is among the highest in the nation, usually well over 80% in presidential election years. Voters here are very happy with it. I think more states should follow our lead!

4. We're fortunate to have an excellent system that is free of corruption. |

Might be due to our relatively small population. I'm not sure how it might work for very populous states like, say, NY or CA.
