Here's what I don't get:
Sam wasn't even RUNNING for re-election. He didn't have to appease the "law and order" fetishists.
Why did he have to let the cops and the bankers win on this?
And will any of you ever vote for the guy again in any future races?
Sam could have left office a hero...now, he's ruined himself, and for no good reason.

I think there may be an issue with the police chief. I heard speculation that he wants to run for mayor.
