Stephanie Miller arrested for arson

A woman from Schuylkill County is accused of torching a home where she was living.

Police arrested Stephanie Miller, 43, after firefighters were called to the home on Thomaston Road in Cass Township about 11 p.m. Tuesday. They found there were several areas inside the house where the fire started.

Troopers said Miller also assaulted a firefighter who responded to the fire. Two others were hurt battling the flames. They were treated at a hospital and released.

The home, owned by Michael Campion of Schuylkill Haven, had extensive damage to the kitchen and living room areas. The rest of the house had heat, smoke and water damage.

19. Update: Arson Arrest in Schuylkill County (Stephanie Miller Charged with Arson)

Police in Schuylkill County said a woman cried, 'Let it burn' after setting fire to the house where she lived with three children and another woman.

Now the mother of one of the children is behind bars, charged with trying to burn down the place.

When asked if there was every any indication that Miller wanted to burn down the house, Reed said, "Never. She never said anything like that."

She and her kids are being helped by the American Red Cross as they assess their losses.


Police said Stephanie Miller is accused of setting fire to this home on Thomaston Road in Hecksherville.
