A source tells KDKA's Mary Berecky that the son of State Senator Bob Regola has been found delinquent.
Bobby Regola, IV, was in juvenile court after State Police charged him with possession of a firearm following the coroner's inquest into the death of his neighbor 14-year-old Louis Farrell.
Farrell was found dead with a gun that belonged to the senator near his body. His death was ruled a suicide. He lived next door to the Regola's. The senator and his son were never implicated in his shooting.
Both sides are expected to go before the same judge to learn what, if any, punishment Regola will face. The punishment could range from time in a juvenile facility, to a fine, or community service.
Meantime, Sen. Regola is headed to trial on charges including perjury, recklessly endangering another person and possession of a firearm by a minor.
