The yard signs are beginning to come out. The next time you're out driving, take a count and report back here with the location, the date, and the number of signs for each candidate.

as noted in the other string ... There have been about a dozen or so Ron Paul signs up for almost a year now ...
There are a couple of Hill signs in my little town, long standing dem activist got her hands on them and got them out to her spots ... Outside of that no other Hill or Obama signs in the county that I can see ... A reasonable amount of Obama bumper stickers ...

Have been plastered all over a mini van that parks near the Chinese restaurant I frequent.

One Hillary sign in Sewickley Twp. One Obama sign in Mt. Pleasant. How does the rest of the county look?

Haven't seen many signs up around here besides Ron Paul ones (I'm a local). But the uni students love those Obama bumper stickers. Sorry, no numbers beyond "a bunch."

9. I'm really struck by how few signs there are |
|
Not just for Hillary and Obama, but for local contests. Here we are two weeks out and nary a sign in sight. Is there some kind of a sign shortage? Printers on strike?

10. Not local elections ... |
|
We have 13 ...
I repeat, THIRTEEN candidates for an open spot for our congressman in our district ... Not to mention the presidential election ...
And, there are less yard signs than last year when the commissioners and ROW offices were up ...
Why, the local candidates could campaign more locally AND know people who both will get them out and put them in their businesses and yards ... Freakin congressional canidates don't know anyone, really ...
I also know, the federal candidates have a hard time getting their yard signs out ... We still don't have hill or Obamas up here, like it was with Casey two years ago ...

12. Few competitive races |
|
There are few competitive races in central and eastern PA. The most competitive Dem race in PA (other than for President) is for State Treasurer (snore).
There is much less competition for State legislative seats than the previous 2 elections.
The Repubs have some very competitive primaries for US House seats in rural parts of PA.

I've seen 2 Ron Paul signs near the interchange for I279 near my house, as well as one Hillary sign in a yard in a nearby neighborhood. Most of the other signs I see are for local races.
As far as bumper stickers, I've seen 3 for Hillary, one for Obama, and I'm still sporting my Edwards sticker...

I have two Obama signs in my yard. I gave a third one to my nephew in Waynesburg. Other than that, I have seen no Hillary signs and no Obama signs. They did open an Obama headquarters in Waynesburg, so maybe some are around there.

Just yesterday I noticed a flurry of Obama signs in Washington, like they had just gotten them. I'll be canvassing in Washington this weekend, so I'll be around town mor to get a better look.
