I'm gonna bet the Phila Inquirer endores McCain this year. |
|
Since the new owners have taken over, the editorial board has leaned righter with Ferris, Santorum, Smerconish and Last being it's major contributors. The paper endorsed Gore, then Kerry, and published that great feature "21 reasons not to re-elect GB" in '04. But I'm betting this year it's gonna be different.

1. No wonder they are having trouble selling papers |

After hearing that they are leaning to the right, I have no desire to sign up for a new subscription. I heard that their subscription numbers were down.

I recall in the 80s when they broke the story regarding the savings and loan debacle. Wished I had kept my copy of it to remind them who was involved and how far they've sunk!

4. Isn't money behind Inquirer real estate development money? |
|
I wonder how real estate developers view their self interest these days...
They love Bush's low taxes, cheap labor and lack of regulation. But in order to sell homes, homebuyers have to have a job and be able to get a mortgage.
