Why's sestak is so concerned in throwing VodVarka off the ballot? Choice is good. http://www.pa2010.com/2010/03/sestak-goes-after-the-little-guy-in-senate-race/comment-page-1/#comment-12720I am glad we have VodVarka as a choice on the ballot, as he much stronger than Sestak on labor issues.

There are two types of petition challenges. One type is justified: such as if the candidate did not use any care to make sure they were collecting signatures of registered voters in the correct party, or if there were fraudulent signatures, etc. If you can't find enough eligible voters, you don't deserve to run.
The other type of challenge is completely different. That involves using legal technicalities to try to remove the names of persons who were eligible to sign the petition. For example, they try to remove names because they did or did not include a middle initial, or the voter signed their name in the printed name column and printed their name in the signiture column, etc. Those types of challenges should not be allowed and are intended to disenfranchise the choices of voters.
I don't know the facts, but I assume Sestak's challenge involves the first type of challenge.
