Westmoreland Co. Democrats send clear message to Jason Altmire
Edited on Sun Mar-21-10 01:01 PM by PADEMJES12
On the eve of the historic healthcare vote, where every vote will count, according to PA2010.com, the Westmoreland Dem. Committee sent a clear message to Congressman Altmire that may portend to become the case in other PA-04 Counties such as Allegheny and Beaver. Altmire was uncontested on the ballot for the PA-04 nomination and failed to secure enough votes to collect the party endorsement. This was being uncontested folks. There is still time for Altmire to change their mind and the United Steel Workers, AFL-CIO, and SEIU are doing everything they can, including even setting a sit in protest rally:

It looks like the teabag or tea partiers or whatever they go by have targeted Altmire. To vote against the Health Care bill and then to turn around and ask for Union and Dem Party support to get re-elected would not be a smart move by Altmire.

In other news, Jack Wagner won the Govs endorsement, Arlen Specter won the Senate endorsement, and Scott Conklin won the Lt. Gov endorsement all by relatively large margins.

1. Do they expect Republican support in Nov?
Do those Democrats who vote no expect that the Republicans will support them come November, or do they think Democrats will support them? They will be out on a proverbial limb without any support all by themselves.
