the point is, sestak has ZERO support from anyone in Pennsylvania. I do enjoy Barneys rants. Oh wait, in all fairness i forgot Ned Lamont (big draw there). John Kerry sides with Specter on swiftboat charges. Release the records :) http://www.pa2010.com/2010/05/kerry-sort-of-sides-with-specter-on-the-swiftboat-charge/

"What troubled me most about the 2004 smears was that lies were permitted to pollute the public dialogue even after they were thoroughly and publicly disproven by the Navy's own records," the former Democratic presidential nominee said.

5. No. Kerry is speaking about his own experience in 2004. |
|
Kerry does not say for Sestak to release his own records.
Again, please show me a quote where Kerry plainly calls for Sestak to release his Navy records.

15. and many of the smears against Kerry were disproven by NAVY records, |
|
not Kerry's own file - which as I recall he did NOT release until after the election (2005) and then only to 3 newspapers, leaving his detractors claiming he didn't really release them. Which is the SAME THING that will happen if Sestak were to do exactly what Kerry did.
Kerry's military records were the trial run of "Obama's birth certificate". They found that by continually claiming that the target hadn't done what he was supposed to do (no matter what he did), they could get a few gullible hens to keep squawking and pecking...

6. You left out the part of the article where Sen. Kerry says he is friends with both candidates. |
|
"Kerry said he is friends with both candidates, and had been an early backer of Sestak's 2006 House campaign.
"I've been reluctant to get involved in a primary between two friends, and even more reluctant to be drawn into arbitrating the definition of the term Swiftboating," Kerry said. "I'd like to see us get to a better place in politics where the word Swiftboating is retired from the political vocabulary."

|
John Kerry released his official Navy records which clearly disproved swiftboat lies. Dont confuse the 2 together.
Joe Sestak REFUSES, that is REFUSES to release the Navy records. There is a SIGNIFICANT difference because Joe Sestak was relieved of duty for poor command climate, and his REFUSAL to release such records confirms this fact although he is contending Specter and the 2005 Navy Times (pre-political) article are false.
In short... sestak is refusing document production, when he is in the position to confirm or deny it. He says "its not true", yet will not show proof. Anyone in his right mind (and if it was not really the case) would have released the records a long time ago. He has not and must not because they will likely confirm the charges and more, aside from letting us see what kind of boss rep. sestak actually was.

|
It is as simple as that. This is all I have been asking you---Where is the quote from Senator Kerry?
You can make any insinuation that you like about my intelligence. You are not answering the question.

9. you need to ask joe yes or no about releasing records |
|
when its no... or as joe has ducked from answering the question...
then you know.... HE WAS RELEASED OF DUTY BECAUSE OF POOR COMMAND CLIMATE. Kerry says the media should investigate but we're being stonewalled. Tell Sestak to release the records so we can do our due diligence blue neen.
"I cannot serve as a referee. That's an issue for the candidates to address and the media to investigate."

|
my god, he would never hear the end of it ... oh wait Kerry will never hear the end of it anyway, "when will John Kerry release his records?"
Nah, I don't think Kerry will be calling for Sestak to release his detailed military jacket.
The key stuff is public and confirmable: 30 years service, retired honorably as a 2-star Admiral, commanded a carrier battle group, worked on Clinton's counter-terrorism task force. What else do you need to know? The nasty things someone said who didn't like his style? Tough shit. (and that is of course directed at the Specterites, not you blue neen.)

14. Sestak was not relieved of duty, he was reassigned |
|
Edited on Mon May-10-10 07:18 PM by MH1
"relieved of duty" implies misconduct and UCMJ action. Which is untrue. Since it is a deliberate smear, it is a lie. And that is why many veterans I know are pissed at Specter.
Also Sestak was not a commanding officer at the time, he could not be "relieved of command". Again, it's a bullshit smear and tells you what Specter thinks of military veterans.

20. "your opinion is bullshit?" That's quite classy of you. |
|
The fact that you are calling anyone who questions what you say as a "drone" is actually quite hilarious. I guess you don't see the irony in that.
I suppose you do realize that many of the posters in this forum have not declared who they are going to vote for yet.

Really, where do you get off talking to her like that? You cannot answer a simple question, so you deflect and insult her? Put up or shut up, and leave the personal insults to Specter. He's quite capable of handling those himself.

How are you? This primary season is getting wild, isn't it? I couldn't even count the number of ads we saw last night when we were watching TV.
The PA-12 race looks like it's going to be a nailbiter. Critz and Burns have been running neck and neck in the special election. The ad that shows Burns wants a 23% National Sales Tax is quite effective, IMHO.

22. Hi neen! I'm concerned about the huge dollars being spent by Burns to paint |
|
Critz as a political hack, beholden to Big Scary Nancy Pelosi. It seems like for every one Critz tv ad, I'm seeing 2-3 for Burns and that makes me nervous. It's a nail biter race, that's for sure. I had a guy stop by the house one evening last week to talk up Critz, I told him I'd probably vote for Critz. I really like Ryan Bucchianeri, but I don't think he has a chance to win and I don't want to waste my vote.

|
It's actually quite confusing. I'm going with Critz for the special election, but don't know what I'll do for the primary.
I got polled by the DNC last week on the Critz/Burns race. I hope they start pouring some money into it.
