Another poll shows Sestak ahead |
|
Edited on Mon May-10-10 07:46 PM by MH1
It's not just Morning Call anymore. Add Rasmussen. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/plum-line/2010/05/another_poll_shows_sestak_ahea.htmlAlso, RCP has Toomey over Specter by 12, but over Sestak only by 2 ... and Sestak isn't even campaigning against Toomey yet while Toomey has a clear field (thanks to Arlen's defection from the republican primary). http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latestpolls/latest_election_polls.htmledit for typo ... durn that s being next to the d ...

Specter is *fairly* liberal and I don't think anyone on here was sad to see him defect for Obama's 100 Day gift, but the move was obviously done to ensure re-election and get Dems behind him. Sestak has had the machine (including the WH) against him from day 1 and yet still strides on with the base behind him instead of the establishment. Overcoming that gets him some points in my book, especially now that he's the favorite in the primary and in a dead heat in the GE. :toast:

I certainly didn't mean to "intrude" on Pennsylvania political threads, but having noticed the past 3-4 polls from numerous organizations putting Sestak ahead, I wanted to chime in on the topic. It's hard to find primary topics in the breaking/GD forums sometimes (especially since I'm a part time poster), so I thought it'd be easy to find the topic and respond in the PA board.
But it's good to see at least someone agrees with me.

I'm a Pennsylvania with 30 years in Florida. You get to see a lot from South to North, or From East to West, which should account for something.

2. Rasmussen is a joke-I mean really. They are conservative all the way. |
|
I really don't place much in these poll numbers. But, I did notice that Sestak was down one point today and Specter up one point.

9. I still can't decide. The devil I know, who really isn't a devil. |

He probably can be counted on to do the right thing, unlike some of his neo-nazi ex-compatriots. Or the guy I don't know who seems to be what we used to call a Type A personality. They have a lot of energy but often seem to go off half-cocked.
I might not decide till I walk up to the machine.
