McCain is a friend, he was voting for a friend. And, maybe he realized his vote didn't matter because McCain was going to lose.

there is this thing called 'assassination' also, which I understand Specter is supposedly sort of an expert on.
Oh and who is being cocky now with the victory pronouncements?
I sure hope the Philly voters show their independent streak on Tuesday. A lot of them have told me they don't like the way Specter is taking their votes for granted. It will be interesting.
