The age old political realities: Power corrupts, and unbridled greed morphs into an insane disconnect from reality.

Or alternatively, Corbett IS another Reagan in the early years of his Alzheimer's/senile dementia. How can any sane person believe Big Oil will flee the Marcellus Shale if made to pay an extraction tax? Big Oil recently announced they've been ready for the past year to pay such a tax in PA. Corbett truly is crazy to take the position he has on this issue.

2. Is there an official psychological diagnosis for a person

so deeply intransigent on a position, that they are willing to inflict very deep pain and damage to millions of other people rather than abandon that position? A sociopath? There is something not right about Corbett's stubborn refusal to tax the drillers, to make corporations pay their fair share. It seems to go far beyond lobbyists and their influence.
