While keeping completely silent about the billions of dollars of cuts against public schools, public colleges, needy kids, AIDs program, health care and human servies, Mrs. Corbett is now publicly speaking out against a single one of the cuts.

She wants $7 million of funding restored to the Arts Council, where she serves as the chairperson. The House has proposed the cut, which the governor did not originally propose.

Meanwhile, Corbett seems to be avoiding the press. A statewide public radio reporter today said that Corbett's office hasn't returned any calls to him in weeks.
