His name is just too darn strong. His margins in all of his statewide elections have been pretty signficant. He absolutely clocked Santorum, and love him or hate him, Santorum had raised more money for a senate race than anyone in history and was a serious politician. Beating him is one thing, but Casey just smashed him, and he did not even really go after him.
He is a moderate, and again, because of his name does not have really try to get out in front of things unless it won't hurt him.
