Like I've said before, Chafee is to the left, socially, of a lot of dems.

Interseting debate. Laffey is still an asshole.

In context, I'm watching the chafee Laffey debate.

Neither of them supports the death penalty.

These guys are both socially to the left of the centrist dems.

What is up with my fellow Rhode Islanders? I no longer liver there, but I must wonder how the hell you did not rally behind Carl Sheeler? How the hell did you elect a republican Governor?

And I am behind Sheeler. I just said in another post that I considered unafiliating from Dem to vote for Laffey in the R primary, but I wanted my vote to go to Sheeler.

And I loathe Carcieri. Loathe, loathe, loathe, almost as much as I loathe Bush. The problem is that Carcieri's opponant was a woman. Even in Rhode Island, that's a handicap. People would vote for an out gay governor (in the future, I wouldn't be surprised if Ciccilini becomes governor.)

Most men I know won't vote for a women. And it sucks. But that's men for you.
