I'm going to call Bob Inglis and tell him I appreciate his vote |
|
on the non-binding resolution against the escalation surge.
Even though it was a toothless resolution, in this red region, about as Republican as it can be, that means something.

2. Yes. I'm surprised in an area as predominantly red as his constituency, |

that he voted as he did. A lot of folks gave him grief for it.
I figured he needed some positive reinforcement.
Edited to add 2nd paragraph.

4. Kudos to you for calling him. |

We need to support our legislators when they do a good thing, which is important to them, rather than just asking for their vote or castigating them when they don't vote as we'd like. Good job...:hi:

6. Good for you. I've been writing my representatives for a few years, |
|
and they're pretty good about getting back to me. One important thing to remember is that they depend on constituents' opinions, so it's as important to praise them for supporting legislation that you're in favor of, as it is to ask them to support or co-sponsor legislation that you want to see go through...:-)
