An ice cream parlor was in the Five Points area in Columbia in
the 1980's. It wasn't a franchise. They had flavors such as cinnamon and molasses gingersnap, and also more traditional flavors.

I looked for the place recently and don't think it's there anymore. But the main thing is, I can't remember the name of the place. Can anyone out there remember?

And they just sold ice cream. No sandwiches.

I used to go to the Zesto's in West Columbia.

3. don't remember
and I lived 2 blocks from 5 Points in the early 80s. I spent more time in the bars than ice cream parlors I guess. The Zesto's in West Columbia is still there.

4. I don't think that you are thinking about 5 Points, rather it
might be Swensens which was on South main between the capital and campus. It's where Hutner Gatherer is now, across from Sandy's Hot Dogs.

5. He's thinking of the place that was where Sushi Yoshi is now
but alas, the internets and my memory are silent as to what that place was called.

6. Oh yeah, now I remember an ice cream place being there.
For some reason in 5 Points, if its not cocktails it doesn't register.
