Dear Senator Graham...... |
|
Here is a message he needs to hear....
Dear Senator Graham,
You made your political fortune through your prosecution of a president for "sex related" activities and his testimony related to those acts.
Can we expect similar zeal with respect to events in Iraq, or are your statements to the effect of "expect more and worse" just spin?
Now is the time to exhibit the integrity and character that you have so publicly championed.
Sincerely, xxxxxx

1. What is your take on Graham's position |
|
on the prisoner torture?
Just curious. I have been trying to figure out what he is up to.
Would be interested in the take of other South Carolinians.

2. I think he's a little trapped by the national game.... |
|
He made his name as a firebrand and a spokesperson for "character". He's making some of the same noises, but he has to do so in such a way as to give the larger powers that be an "out".
It is hard to grab the personal limelight, placate your leadership in the Senate, serve the institution of the Senate, and please the pResident and the party in general. I'd really love to see his hand forced a little, but right now, I think he'll be happy with the media attention that got and will now promptly shut up.

4. I think we need keep applying pressure.... |
|
Keep writing letters, to Graham, the editors, etc. Don't give Graham an out to ride the fence on this by letting this fade. His claim to fame was his moral outrage with Clinton's peccadillo, one could easily reason that state sanctioned torture and violation of the Geneva convention should generate AT LEAST as much outrage. No ?
