As someone who lived in SD as a child, who still vacations there in the Black Hills, who still has friends living there, and who knows just how conservative most of the state is, I'm absolutely thrilled!

Thune is an idiot who deserved to lose both his senate race and this race, and I couldn't be happier, especially since that arrogant, lying, bigoted, ruthless, heartless, POS SOB Janklow is finally GONE as well! And this is particularly significant, since SD is, like most western states, quite conservative. Maybe there's hope for the Dems in the West this fall, after all!

8. I agree with what you said about "Thune" however, he wasn't the...

one running against Herseth. That was Larry Diedrich, and he is running against her again in November. Let's hope she wins again. Thune, on the otherhand, is running against Daschle this fall. I cannot stand John Thune but it's gonna be a tough race for Daschle and either one of them could win.

As a native born resident, who returned after 15 years from places like California & Colorado (sometimes I have asked myself WHY??)
