"Are we being made something we ain't?".....
....This is the title of an article that my county party chair wrote.

Here is a small portion of the article:

"In a recent National Young Republicans meeting they were asked what they disliked most. Their answers: 1. Liberals 2. Hippies 3. Gays 4. Democrats. These "disliked things" are all people, not issues.

If Young Democrats had been asked, their answers would have most likely been: 1. War in Iraq 2. Crises in Healthcare 3. Affect of Federal Deficit on their future 4. Credibility of our Government worldwide. These are the real issues.

How have the two parties strayed so far away from each other? The Republican Party has done a great job of creating the definition of Democrats as "baby killers, being in favor of gay marriage, and liberals (whatever the word liberal means)", thus turning the ill-informed against Democrats. If it weren't for these hot-button issues that the Republicans have found (and partially created), I believe virtually everyone would be Democrats. Most people whether Republican or Democrats believe in the rights of others."

------
This is just a small portion of what he has to say. I hope you'll read the entire article. It is definitely worth it!
