for restaurants close to downtown with vegetarian options on the menu?

1. Just got back from there. Plenty of good restaurants--not sure about veg.

The Hard Rock Cafe is downtown as is the Wild Horse Saloon. I ate at the Wild Horse-it was good and I'm sure they had veg selections.
Everything downtown is within walking distance.

3. Nashville and Mid-TN literally has hundreds of good restaurants!

Most of them offer vegetarian dishes. I recommend some of the smaller "meat and threes" or the places that specialize in "Southern" cuisine. They always have a large variety of veggies and you can buy veggie plates or ala carte.
