To the Editor:

So will The Tennessean feature Al Gore's new TV network just as prominently (top of the fold-business section) when it goes out of business within a year due to lack of viewership? ("Gore's network to launch today," Aug. 1)

This will just be one more failure on the list of this sad person who has marginalized and redefined himself into a caricature and a punch line.

What an ignorant person you must be. How many terms as United States Senator have you served? Vice President? What exactly have you done to re-paid this country for the privilege of living in a free society? Military service? War experience? Peace Corp? Have you ever worked in a homeless shelter, have you considered sponsoring or adopting a special needs child? Have you made sure that all children in American have health care, food, and education? Or are those issues to mundane for you? You have more important things to do - like knock a political figure in a letter in a newspaper. How petty your comments. How noble your efforts. Is this your life's meaning? Do you even care?

Al Gore has served as Vice President of the United States and a United States Senator - what is your job title? Head Honcho of Failed Flunkies? Master of Creative Accounting for Corporate Whores? All American Asshole? Deacon in the Holy Roller Church of the Narrow-Minded Knuckle Draggers? Private First Class Chickenshit Chickenhawk? What is your wonderful claim to fame besides outing your stupidity in a newspaper?

Al Gore has done more in one year to try to make this country a better place than you will ever be able to accomplish if you live to be 150 years old. Some people do while others write snarky letters to the editor. Go back to your cave, beat your wife, have another little neoconite, thump your chest in pride, hit your local franchise of Sunday hypocrisy and know you have done your part to ruin American.

Fail or succeed in his latest venture - at least Al Gore tried and I am proud to know that he is a symbol for millions and millions of real Americans. I would suggest you quit knocking other people's accomplishments and/or attempts and get busy making your own "legacy." Shut up and get busy or get out of the way of the people who are making a difference.
