2. HURRAY!
They're going to carry Stephanie! Now I can listen to her on the way to school when I go to class! Who's Bill Press? I don't recognize him. Nice lineup! From Stephanie to Mike are all my favorite's. Do you know the dial number(s)?

3. Bill Press is an older gent, a Democrat who used to sit opposite
Pat Buchannon on 'Buchannon and Press', a political talk show, that used to air on MSRNC a couple of years ago.

The station is 1310 AM. Enjoy!

4. how big's the transmitter?
Anyone know? Normally, I can catch AM stations from miles away on my car radio if the weather is right... but I guess the transmitter has to be fairly big. I guess i can tune in to morrow and find out. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

6. Lineup
Dissappointing. They aren't including one of the best shows on AAR - The Rachel Maddow Show.

8. I have some reasoning behind this
They figure they would try to ease a few Democratic shows into Tennessee right now to see how that works. Get folks assimlinated to it.

As you may know, Maddow is gay, and the producers probably thought having a show hosted by a lesbian would totally crash in Tennessee.

Once again, the close minded people ruin it for everyone.

Just my thinking behind the move.

Ah, yes. In an opinion piece in last week's Chattanoogan, one reader was clearly frightened that giving people the opportunity to listen to something other than Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, or (ugh) Savage might cause neo-con power to slip away... suggesting that if AAR comes to town, next thing you know you'll have "Federal troops rushing southward to forcibly reopen abortion clinics"

http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_73549.asp

You know what really got me hooked on Air America? When I heard Randi Rhodes say "Don't believe me. Look this up for yourself. You'll see I'm telling the truth". Wow, imagine that. These guys want me to think for myself.

Here's what you get when a far-right-wing conservative talk show host doesn't like hearing a liberal speak the truth.

That's Janet Parshall with her fingers in her ears. She was on CSPAN yesterday with Randi Rhodes.

11. I saw that video
That Janet woman was a looney. :eyes: And when she said they don't shout on conservative radio I said: "no you just hang people up". :eyes: And yes I like that about AAR and all liberal shows. They encourage you to think. And with Malloy he says he doesn't offer suggestions to do anything or whatever. It's just a meeting place and to rant and rave and all that. And again these people's obession with sex simply amazes me. They need to be given a vibrator or something.

I guess she's never listened to Hannity... or O'Reilly? I've heard O'Reilly yell "SHUT UP!" when he doesn't like what someone's saying.

:( I didn't know for sure she was gay. I kinda wondered () but she's still a cool host. I like the lineup they have and it's good to give the locals a voice too. In my opinion I'd rather have Stephanie Miller since her show is so fun and I'm laughing all the way through it with Jim's impersonations.
