Tennessee driver's license question. |
|
I am curious about the information on your driver's license there. Does it still have your social security number on it?

You can request that it not appear on you license when you apply for one or renew one. My SS# is not on mine.

3. Thanks. I found a wallet the other day that was lost by someone... |
|
...from Tennessee that had been here only four days. The license had his social security number on it and that seemed dangerous. It must have been an older license.

When I moved here and got my first license. Upon renewal it went straight off.

Tennessee was the last state to even add a *photo* to the drivers license. They caved in sometime around 1986-87.

In Tennessee it's possible to get a somewhat *flattering* photo on your license. Never had that happen in NY. In Vermont, btw, my license didn't have a photo when I moved out in 1994.
