Is Tennessee Setting Up for a Vote Scam? |

Bloated registration rolls might mean long lines at polls
AMBER ARNOLD / STAFF Rollow Mickle sifts through address verification cards that have already been alphabetized in the Election Commission voter registration office in the Howard School building. It has taken Mickle six months to organize the first group of cards that was sent back to the office.
By BRAD SCHRADE and ANNE PAINE Staff Writers
Voters in Davidson County could be waiting in longer lines on Election Day in November because for almost 10 years the county has not verified the accuracy of its voter rolls as required by law.
Some say voter fraud is more likely, too, while the county Election Commission tries to catch up on its files.
That catch-up effort began last year when the commission mailed 303,000 cards to verify addresses to everyone listed as an active voter. The U.S. Postal Service returned about 18% as ''undeliverable.''http://tennessean.com/government/archives/04/06/53377443.shtml?Element_ID=53377443

1. I printed this out for future reference. |

I know there were problems in 2000 with voters not being able to vote and I can only hope that there won't be problems.
