Chattanooga, TN radio station WDOD 1310 AM drops AAR on Aug 21 |
|
in favor of "a format featuring musical oldies and standards from the late 1950s and the 1960s and 1970s" reportedly due to "failure to attract adequate advertiser support" according to director of programming and operations for WDEF and WDOD. The station had been broadcasting most of the AAR line-up (except for frequent preemptions by area sporting events) for the previous 11 months.
DAMN!

Use the internet to listen or go with satellite, if enough people move to satellite radio the sponsors and local radio stations will end up with the same problem Newspapers have. They are only killing free speech. Anyway, can anyone recall any of slanthead's sponsors. I did long ago and I bugged the s*** out of them just to let them believe that I listened to their crap. By the way did you support your local AAR sponsors. If you did call them and let the know how you enjoyed hearing the opposite views and thank them for trying to make a difference. They have more say then the listener does.
