Give me a good reason not to vote for Corker |
|
was the question I got from a Republican in Clarksville my answer wasn't fact based it was more Blah Blah Blah we need a democratic Senate I'm having a hard time making ends meet aren't you that kind of stuff Truth is I really don't know much about Corker I've been peering over the fence all this time paying attention to all the high profile races instead of tending to my own backyard. I've rehashed our conversation over in my mind and I believe She was open/wanted to be persuaded with a few good facts I think my friend could go democrat then maybe her husband and sister then brother and so on. anyone have any good poignant facts for me to use.

To NOT vote for Corker could probably be found in that radio interview he had; I heard it on the Tennessee boards http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=179x3344As for a reason to vote FOR Harold Ford Jr., I would say that with the exception of the most recent ad, most of campaigning has been positive. So far the one I liked the most was the reason he went to church as a young child - he was forced to go. He did say he was a better person for it.

2. if she was the family values type, tell her about corker's daughter |
|
making out with girls and dancing in her underwear in photos that showed up on her own myspace page.
if bob can't instill decent values in his daughter, how can he be expected to mind the store in washington?
if she was an anti-immigrant type, tell her about corker getting busted for hiring illegal aliens.
there are a million reasons not to vote for corker. his being a republican is only one.

3. Corker may be running as a 'successful businessman' |
|
but how long ago was it he was just a struggling contractor? 1998? Who does he owe his meteoric rise to? It's very troubling to me. There are some decent folks in the TN republican party, and I think they are being hoodwinked by a very managed plan.
Imagine this scenario: Take some charismatic guy out of Nashville, say someone who lives in the same neighborhood as our current senators alexander and (o don't make me type his name).
Move him to some unorganized city, like Chattanooga, with candidates who don't run on party tickets, where he can coast in and be mayor after a really good mayor, and not really screw things up too bad, and teach him how to use a teleprompter on the taxpayer's bill, and groom him up a lot to take (o that bad man) (who has resigned his senate seat 'cuz he wants to run for president).
The legislature is messed up. Washington is a disgrace. Harold Ford is squeaky clean. I have checked. You should check. We don't need to send a guy who just barely can manage his own campaign without the RNC stepping in to tell these yahoos what to do, and who seems to owe somebody big time. Ford has worked up the professional political ladder, and the worst dirt they can throw at him is that he's the most liberal representative from Tennessee. Like he'd even be a contender in Mass or Calif.
Or, tell your friend just not to vote if they aren't informed enough to make a decision.
Or, ask why his ads feature his really weird mom?
