"this race shouldn't even be close"
Parker Smith opines on chattanoogan.com

http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_94157.asp

...

And thank you, Mr. Mayor. for not going on "Meet the Press." We don't need the entire country asking, "What's wrong with those people in Tennessee? This shouldn't even be close."

Parker, honey, if you're reading this, please start writing posts for DU. We need you!

1. Ouch!, and the hits just keep coming. Pick up a copy of the Free Press
today and read the LTTEs - the religious right, republicans and Corker are getting smacked around pretty hard, and shockingly from folks in Jasper, Soddy-Daisy and Ooltewah.:wow:

Samplings:

Bush Uses Iraq War as Political Tool - This one mentions Bush** and Rumsfeld as "two of the dumbest leaders this nation has ever seen. The two together couldn't find their way out of the rain, and if they did they would end up in a hole. And look out, here comes a junior Bush: Bob Corker (that's scary)".

Ford campaign signs are being removed

Right-wing phonies fooling Christians

Last thing U.S. needs is evasive Corker

The tone is similar to that of Parker's and it was actually fun to read through them today!

2. I saw the same "conversation" and both were sitting in a large
leather chair. Corker looked like Lily Tomlin when she played Edith on Laugh In. Is he over 5 feet?

3. Corker is not very tall. I'm 5'10" and I'd guess he's about 5'7" or so.
Ford isn't tall either, though he's taller than Corker. Also, he projects more of a presence. And he's wa-a-a-a-ay smarter.

4. I have a friend who stood beside him at a gathering while he was mayor,
and she said he is shorter than that. Roughly, 'I'm 5'4" and he was maybe a quarter of an inch taller than I.' She then asked my height and I told her 5'7" and she stated that she figured that and then that I would be noticeably taller than he even if I were barefoot.

She also said that "he's tiny" referring to his frame. Not that I care about his size as much as I do his fiendish brain.

I have heard quite a few people comment that they think that his size contributes to his temper tantrums though.
