Local News Station Picks Apart Political Ads: Ford and Corker
Here's the latest "Heart of the Matter". http://www.wbir.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=38634

This news station looks at ads from both sides of this Senate race. They investigate the claims and the sources for those claims. It's a great idea. Something I've noticed is that most of the ads by Corker or the RNC are full of half-truths or outright lies. I only hope by fellow Tennesseans are paying attention.

Here's the rest of the ads they have looked at: http://www.wbir.com/news/specials/heartmatter/default.aspx

1. "What kind of man parties with Playboy Playmates in lingerie ....

... then films commercials from a church pew?" the ad asks.

Just MO, but right now, in the South, it's probably the best time, ever, for a bachelor congressman to be seen with Playboy bunnies - and in church the next morning. (Harold should thank Mr. Foley.)

My local news station just ran a spot for each, on either side of a commercial break. For Ford, it was the "stay the course" doesn't work spot. For Corker it was "Harold Ford Jr voted to raise death taxes."

I'd say Ford won that break.
