Corker--looks/acts like character in Desperate Housewives

Has anyone else noticed this? Gabby is being pursued by a sleazy politician, the mayor. My theory is that the casting director put out a call for people who looked like Corker, and could act like him. Other than watching the show and noticing the strong resemlance, the other evidence is that one of the casting directors for the show (who won an Emmy for it) is from Germantown, TN. I am guessing he saw some Corker ads while visiting family at about the same time that he was casting the part.

Has anyone else noticed this? The first time I saw the dude, I thought--uh huh, Corker.
