Hope for TN gaining ex-Repubs |
|
I spoke w/ my mother who lives in Chattanooga last night. She told me one of her friends whom she has known since high school (60 yrs or more) confessed to her last week. This friend & her family have been staunch Repubs going back 4 generations. She told my mother that her family had been upset & worried about this year's election & had decided "they could not vote Republican after what the current administration had done to the country"!!!!!!!! They plan on voting Democrat in this election!!
Mom was shocked out of her chair! So was I! (In the GOOD way!):wow:
Mom listens to one of the talk radio stations there & said there were quite a few life-long Repubs who've called in with similar stories; stating they cannot vote Republican this time. Granted some of these won't vote at all, or will vote for some other party, but the end result is the same....WE WIN!
Has the veil of deception finally been lifted? Are these folks finally seeing what "their" party is really all about?
We can only hope so. It gave me reason to believe we may have a turn around in this country after all.
Hallelujah. :bounce:

1. Well, yesterday a Democrat won Dennis Haster's seat in a "safe" |
|
Republican district in Illinois. A "safe" district is one where there's virtually no chance of the opposition party picking up a seat.
So, that should scare the bejeesus out of the GOP.
And, it's possible that some of that could happen here in Tennessee. However, around my neighborhood it's quite unlikely.

2. The mountains of East TN swallow people up & isolate them |
|
from the rest of the country. It is easy to just plod along with what's been the status quo for decades & not let "outside ideas" influence one. I still feel that way when I return there.
But this administration has really hurt so many people. With more hurt to come. If we could just get the churches out of the picture, more would see what has really happened to our country & I believe they would realize that the Democratic Party is the party of the poor & less fortunate.
As for Hasert's seat, I'm elated we took it! I do fear that the Repubs will become even more desperate & act like desperate fools tend to do. They will not give up easily. This might just fuel their nasty, evil fire. The dirty tricks committee will be out in full force. Hold on to your hats! It's bound to get interesting.!

3. Well, let's hope........ |
|
our democratic candidates don't destroy themselves. Leave it to the dem's to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory.

5. Good! My Mom shocked the hell out of me not too long ago |
|
and she called today to check on me (I've been sick) and she was disgusted with Evil Unka Dick's "so" comment, then she went off on Dimson** and then McCain. "They don't give a damn about the good of this country nor the citizens in it."
Yes, I'd say some are finally seeing through the Bushit** and hopefully more will between now and Nov.
